Alemzude Woldemariam was born in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and developed a deep passion for art early on. Inspired by the legendary Maître Artist World Laureate Afewerk Tekle, he was captivated by the masterful use of color, form, and storytelling in visual expression. As a self-taught artist, Alemzude explores abstract compositions that embody emotion, movement, and cultural identity. His work seamlessly blends bold textures and striking contrasts, drawing from Ethiopia’s rich artistic traditions and contemporary influences.

Art is a language of expression, an outlet where I capture emotions, ideas, and fleeting moments inspired by everyday life. It is not just about creating images but about translating what I see, hear, and feel into something tangible. My process is spontaneous; when struck by an idea, I quickly sketch it on paper and later bring it to life on canvas when time allows.
I draw inspiration from day-to-day occurrences, conversations, visuals, and unexpected moments that resonate with me. These elements shape my work's colors, textures, and movements, creating a narrative that speaks beyond words. Each piece reflects my experiences and emotions, infused with depth and meaning.
